Field Trip! Let's go horseback riding!
Now that we are all getting vaccinated, let's plan some field trips for June! It's been a while since we've been horseback riding (or anywhere for that matter), so let's get back in the saddle. Dress in your jeans and boots (or tennis shoes), grab a hat and get ready to hit the trail and see some amazing views. We have three great farms to consider and we have listed them for you:
Los Angeles Horseback Riding

The Los Angeles Horseback Riding ranch is beautifully situated at the top ridge of the Santa Monica Mountains which connects Topanga and Malibu. You will be able to see 80 miles out from the top of their trails, breathtaking views in every direction!
Westside Riding School

They provide guided trail rides on safe, reliable horses on the beautiful trails of Will Rogers State Historic Park, Pacific Palisades. You will experience the park in the way Will Rogers used to love to experience it - on horseback. Their wranglers are experienced and safety oriented, so you can relax and enjoy the trails of one of the most beloved parks in Los Angeles. Will Rogers guided trail rides are available Tuesdays through Sundays, and Holiday Mondays.
Malibu Riders

They offer guided trail rides for beginners and advanced riders through Malibu or Paramount Ranch where movies are filmed. Amazing views and trails. Malibu and Agoura Hills offers the most beautiful trails in the national and state parks of Los Angeles.
It is important to call ahead for reservations and get to the farm 15 to 45 minutes ahead of your ride time. Long pants and closed-toe shoes required. Helmets are provided. Some companies require them. Age limits vary and max weight does as well. You will need to bring ID and sign a release. Masks may be required as well.
