Nothing makes you feel like a rockstar more than having one of the best food trucks in the city parked in your driveway. Why have your catering done by a food truck? There are many reasons!

First, the caterers drive their kitchen to your house and don't take over your home kitchen. You get to use your kitchen for other party duties. Also, there's no mess and no cleanup. It's magical.

Second, it's getting easier to find the perfect food truck. If you already know your favorite food truck, they are easy to find with a little Googling. You can set up a tasting, talk to the chef/owner directly and do business with them with no intermediary. If however, you need some help narrowing down the field, let us welcome you into the new world of finding the best food truck fit for your fête...

Third, it's delicious! We have a couple of favorite food trucks that have been launched by famous chefs, but don't ignore the young and hungry new kids rolling around the city. Many trucks are owned and operated by classically-trained culinary experts who have a passion for food, but don't want to be tied to brick and mortar locations. Want to explore in preparation for your party? Try streetfoodfinder.com to seek out who's open, truck info, and hot spots to find your new favorites. It's also a great date!

So, when can we party? June 15! The California Department of Public Health announced on Monday that California will hold off on aligning with the CDC’s updated masking guidelines until June 15, the day the state’s economy is set to fully reopen. In a statement, Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said, “On June 15, California plans to implement the CDC’s guidelines around masking to allow fully vaccinated Californians to go without a mask in most indoor settings.”

While some of us will keep masking-up to protect our young ones, there's nothing wrong with a party in the backyard with a food truck out front doing all of the heavy lifting.

Cheers!
